There is nothing like spending an afternoon at the beach. Especially when it is the first weekend of the year, and I live in Southern California where it happens to be sunny and mild. Also an excuse to continue playing with the compressed perspective of the telephoto lens, which I had forgotten about until a month ago.
A continuous bike path runs along the beach, stretching about 20 miles, from Will Rogers State Beach just to the north, to Redondo Beach to the south. A perfect place to also ride roller skates - normally the inline types, but occasionally old-fashioned roller skates like this woman's too.
